Calvin is an active member of Bakerview Church, Abbotsford, BC. He serves on the Mission Board and is the Night Security person. Calvin has completed courses in Human Relations, Counselling and has a Hospice Training Certificate. His involvment with the Samaratin Inn Recovery House as Counsellor and Group Facillitator has equipped him with valuable experience.
Director of Outreach / Peer Counselor
Pierre is an active member of Olivet Church, Abbotsford, BC. He has taken Caregiving, Counselling and Biblical Studies at Columbia Bible College, Abbotsford, BC. Pierre owned and operated a successful contracting business giving him valuable experience in business managment and human relations.
Calvin and Pierre, now recovered, have extensive Life Experience as practicing addict/alcoholics. By God’s Grace, they are using their life experiences to bring Hope and Help to those still suffering from addictions. As a result of their journey to sobriety and wholeness they have a unique understanding and empathy for the alcoholic and addict. It is their desire to Restore Hearts, Enrich Lives and Inspire Hope.
Shalom Ministry Centre embraces a holistic approach to ministry and determines to offer and implement practical hands-on solutions to poverty and addiction: Including Detox, Social Enterprises (training in trades and work skills), Discipleship, Mentoring and Counselling, bringing Hope, Value and Empowerment to the individual.
Director / Chair
James has spent many years in church planting and pastoral work. He has been a public school teacher and also has done some teaching in a number of Bible Colleges. His specialty is mission administration, teaching and preaching. He has degrees from several Christian Schools. He has done mission assignments in a number of countries of the world. James, a member of Bakerview Chuch, Abbotsford, BC is an integral part of Shalom Ministries.

Sheila has a rich background encouraging leadership in others. Program Advisor at Trinity Western University for many years has equipped her with valuable experience and numerous skills.
Sheila has a big heart for helping others and has volunteered caring for the elderly over the years.
